Harry's is a modern personal care brand that disrupted the shaving industry by offering high-quality razors through a direct-to-consumer model. Founded in 2013 by Andy Katz-Mayfield and Jeff Raider, the brand quickly established itself as a major competitor to established legacy shaving companies.
A pivotal moment for the brand occurred in 2014 when Harry's purchased the Feintechnik razor blade factory in Eisfeld, Germany. This 100-year-old facility allowed the brand to control its entire manufacturing process, from design to production. While the precision steel blades are German-engineered and manufactured, the razor handles and other accessories are produced in various locations globally.
Today, Harry's operates under its parent company, Harry's, Inc. Despite interest from larger conglomerates over the years, including a blocked acquisition attempt by Edgewell Personal Care in 2020, Harry's remains an independent entity headquartered in New York City, continuing to expand its presence in retail stores and international markets.
