Caffè Borbone is a premier Italian coffee brand that originated in Naples, Italy, a city with a deep-rooted and legendary coffee culture. Founded in 1997 by Massimo Renda, the brand was inspired by the Bourbon royal house of Naples and the traditional Neapolitan art of espresso making. It has since grown from a local roasting company into a dominant international player in the coffee pod, capsule, and whole bean markets.
The product is manufactured in Italy, specifically at the company's state-of-the-art roasting and production facilities in Caivano, near Naples. The brand focuses on delivering the authentic taste of Neapolitan espresso, characterized by its bold intensity and rich crema. While the raw coffee beans are sourced from major coffee-producing regions globally (such as South America and Africa), the roasting, blending, and packaging remain strictly based in Italy.
In 2018, the majority ownership of Caffè Borbone was acquired by Italmobiliare, an Italian investment holding company. This partnership has allowed the brand to scale globally while maintaining its authentic Italian heritage. Today, Caffè Borbone is recognized as one of the top coffee producers in Italy and continues to be a leader in sustainable beverage solutions.
