Victoria is a historic footwear brand that originated in La Rioja, Spain, in 1915. It was founded when Gregoria Moratinos created a shoe named after his wife, Victoria. The brand achieved massive international popularity in the 1970s and 80s with its iconic canvas plimsolls, which have since become a symbol of Spanish Mediterranean style.
Today, the brand maintains its headquarters and a significant portion of its production in Spain, emphasizing sustainable practices and the use of natural rubber and organic cotton. While many of their core canvas models are manufactured locally, specific specialized lines, like certain faux leather or multi-material trainers, are produced in facilities in China. The brand remains privately owned by the original founding interests through the parent company Calzados Victoria S.L.U.
