Invicta is a brand with a storied history dating back to 1837 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, where it was founded by Raphael Picard with the goal of providing high-quality Swiss watches at modest prices. The brand flourished for over a century but faced significant challenges during the quartz crisis of the 1970s, which led to its decline and eventual sale.
In 1991, the brand was re-established by American owners who relocated the headquarters to Hollywood, Florida. Today, Invicta is owned by the Invicta Watch Group. While the brand maintains a 'Swiss Heritage' marketing angle, most of its modern production, especially for the high-volume 'Coalition Forces' and 'Pro Diver' lines, occurs in Asia (specifically China), utilizing movements sourced from companies like Seiko (TMI) or Ronda (Swiss Parts).
