Oliveira da Serra is one of Portugal's most iconic and awarded olive oil brands. Launched in the 1960s, it has become a staple of Portuguese Mediterranean cuisine. The brand is deeply rooted in the Alentejo region, where it manages the world's largest continuous olive grove, which includes millions of olive trees planted with sustainable agricultural practices.
Historically, the brand belonged to the Portuguese company Sovena, which is part of the Nutrinveste Group. Sovena is one of the largest olive oil companies globally, controlling the entire production chain from the mill to the bottle. While the brand is primarily produced and bottled in Portugal, it is exported to over 70 countries worldwide, representing the heritage of Portuguese agriculture on a global scale.
