Elipson is France's oldest loudspeaker brand, founded in 1938. The Prestige Facet range of bookshelf speakers (such as the 6B and 8B models) is characterized by its signature sculpted silicone ring surrounding each driver, designed to reduce diffraction and linearize frequency response. This range combines vintage French acoustic heritage with modern engineering.

While the brand maintains its headquarters, design team, and high-end assembly in France, the manufacturing of the Prestige Facet range involves a global supply chain. Many components and standard range assemblies are produced in specialized facilities in Asia to ensure competitive pricing, while high-end or limited editions (like the 80th anniversary models) often feature more direct French craftsmanship. Since 2008, the brand has been under the ownership of AV Industry, a French group specializing in high-fidelity audio equipment.
