Neutron (NTRN)

Neutron is a smart contract platform within the Cosmos ecosystem, designed to facilitate Interchain Smart Contracts. It was originally launched to provide a secure environment for developers to deploy applications using CosmWasm, leveraging the Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) protocol. The project was incubated by Hadron Labs and received significant support from the Cosmos Hub. Unlike traditional consumer products, Neutron is a decentralized network governed by a community of token holders rather than a single corporate entity. The NTRN token serves as the governance and utility asset for the network, allowing holders to participate in decision-making and secure the platform. Its 'production' is distributed globally through network validators and decentralized nodes. The Neutron Foundation oversees the ecosystem development and strategic partnerships.
