In December 2024, Fitshop GmbH—one of Europe's largest specialist retailers for home fitness equipment—officially acquired the global trademark rights for Kettler fitness equipment. While the brand originated as a family-owned German enterprise (Heinz Kettler GmbH & Co. KG), modern production for Kettler-branded fitness gear is primarily conducted in specialized facilities in Asia to maintain competitive pricing, though the engineering and quality standards remain overseen by its German headquarters. This acquisition by Fitshop ensures the brand's continued presence in the EU, EFTA, and Turkish markets.
