Cetaphil is a globally recognized skincare brand specifically formulated for sensitive skin. It was originally developed in 1947 by a pharmacist in Texas, USA, under the company Galderma (which was a joint venture between Nestlé and L'Oréal at the time). The brand focuses on dermatologist-recommended solutions for various skin conditions, including redness-prone skin as seen in the PRO RednessControl line.
Today, Cetaphil is owned by Galderma, which became an independent company in 2019 after being acquired by a consortium of institutional investors led by EQT Partners and the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority. While the brand has American roots, its manufacturing is decentralized, with major production facilities located in Canada, France, and Brazil to supply international markets.
