Chandon is a prestigious sparkling wine brand established in 1959 by the famous French Champagne house Moët & Chandon. The brand's origin began when Robert-Jean de Vogüé, then director of Moët & Chandon, sought to apply French winemaking expertise to new terroirs outside France. Their first venture began in Argentina, and the brand has since expanded globally with estates in California, Brazil, Australia, China, and India.

Today, Chandon is produced locally in each of these six key regions, utilizing the traditional method (méthode traditionelle) to create premium sparkling wines that reflect their specific local climates. For instance, the United States production is based in Napa Valley, California, while Australian production is centered in the Yarra Valley. This decentralized production model allows the brand to maintain high quality while catering to regional tastes and legal designations.

Chandon is owned by LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE, the world's largest luxury goods conglomerate. Within the LVMH portfolio, Chandon belongs to the Moët Hennessy wine and spirits division (in which Diageo also holds a minority stake). The brand continues to represent the global expansion of French savoir-faire into the world of premium non-Champagne sparkling wines.
