YES! Magazine

YES! Magazine (now YES! Media) was founded in 1996 as a nonprofit independent publisher focused on solutions-oriented journalism. Based in Bainbridge Island, Washington, the publication was originally established to provide an alternative to traditional news by highlighting social, environmental, and economic solutions.

In 2025, YES! Media underwent a significant transition, ceasing its regular print and digital publication cycles. The organization's archives and remaining operations were integrated into The Truthout Center for Grassroots Journalism. While it no longer operates as an independent media house, its legacy continues through newsletter-based archives and occasional collaborative editorial projects under the Truthout umbrella. Its manufacturing (printing and hosting) has historically been centered in the United States.
