Rawlplug is an iconic brand in the construction industry, credited with inventing the world's first wall plug in 1919. Founded by John Joseph Rawlings in the United Kingdom, the company revolutionized how fixtures were attached to walls, moving from wooden blocks to expanding fiber plugs. The brand's early success established it as a global standard for masonry fixings.
In 2005, the British brand was acquired by the Polish company Koelner S.A. This acquisition marked a significant shift in manufacturing and distribution. Today, while the brand maintains its British heritage and research centers in the UK, the majority of its production and high-tech manufacturing facilities are located in Poland. The Rawlplug Group now operates as a massive international entity, supplying specialized anchors, foams, sealants, and power tools to construction projects across the globe including the Middle East, Europe, and Asia.
