Roccat Gaming Peripherals

Roccat was a prominent German manufacturer of professional PC gaming peripherals, originally founded in Hamburg in 2006 by René Korte. The brand gained international acclaim for its high-performance hardware, specifically its Vulcan keyboard series and Kone mice, which integrated advanced lighting and optical switch technologies.

In 2019, the brand was acquired by the American audio giant Turtle Beach Corporation for approximately $19.2 million to serve as their dedicated PC gaming arm. However, in April 2024, Turtle Beach announced the retirement of the Roccat brand name as part of a strategic consolidation to unify all gaming products under the single Turtle Beach identity. While the Roccat logo and distinct branding are being phased out, the engineering DNA and popular product lines like the Vulcan and Burst continue to be produced and sold under the Turtle Beach brand name. Manufacturing for these peripheral lines is primarily centered in China.
