Roccat is a prominent name in the gaming industry, well-known for its high-performance gaming peripherals such as the Vulcan keyboard and Kone mouse series. The brand was founded in 2007 in Hamburg, Germany, by Rene Korte, aiming to provide high-quality, aesthetically unique gear specifically tailored for PC gamers.
Over the years, Roccat established a reputation for German engineering and innovation, particularly in RGB lighting technology and switch design. In 2019, the brand was acquired by the American company Turtle Beach Corporation to expand their portfolio beyond console headsets into the PC gaming market.
Starting in 2024, Turtle Beach began the process of sunsetting the Roccat brand name, integrating many of Roccat's existing product lines directly under the Turtle Beach brand brand identity to streamline their offerings. While many products were designed in Germany, mass production generally takes place in manufacturing hubs in China.
