The Iittala Kastehelmi collection, designed by the legendary Oiva Toikka in 1964, is one of Finland's most iconic glassware designs. The name 'Kastehelmi' is Finnish for 'dewdrop,' inspired by the rings of glass bubbles that cover each piece. Originally created to hide joint marks in pressed glass, the pattern has become a timeless staple of Scandinavian design.
Today, Iittala is a flagship brand under the Fiskars Group. While much of Iittala's core glass production still takes place at the Iittala Glass Factory in Finland, some products within the wider portfolio are manufactured in other European and international facilities belonging to the Fiskars Group. The brand remains synonymous with high-quality, durable design meant to last for generations.
