Next-translate is a popular open-source internationalization (i18n) library specifically designed for the Next.js framework. It was created to simplify the process of loading translations and managing multiple languages within web applications using a tiny footprint and no external dependencies.
The project was founded and is currently maintained by Aleix Raubert (known online as Aral Roca), a software engineer based in Spain. As an open-source project hosted on GitHub, it is developed by a community of contributors globally, though its core direction is guided by its original creator. In recent years, while maintaining Next-translate, the team has also focused on developing Brisa, a new web framework.
