Odlo is a pioneer in technical performance apparel, renowned for inventing the three-layer principle and functional sports underwear. Founded in Norway in 1946 by Odd Roar Lofterød, the brand initially gained fame for its speed-skating suits before expanding into cross-country skiing and outdoor performance gear. Today, the brand is synonymous with high-quality base layers and aerobic sportswear designed for extreme conditions.

While the brand has Norwegian roots, it moved its headquarters to Switzerland in the 1980s to centralize European operations. Manufacturing is distributed across multiple locations, including its own production facility in Romania as well as partner factories in Europe and Asia. In 2020, Odlo was acquired by the investment firm Monte Rosa Sports Holding, ensuring its continued growth as a premium outdoor brand.
