Marabou Heart Pralines

Marabou is a legendary Swedish chocolate brand that has become a Nordic cultural icon. Founded in 1916 by Norwegian chocolatier Johan Throne Holst, the brand launched after the success of Freia in Norway. The brand name was chosen because the stork, or 'Marabou', was the logo of the original Freia company.

Today, Marabou is owned by Mondelēz International, a global leader in snacks and confectionery headquartered in the United States. While the brand carries strong Swedish heritage and still produces its flagship products at the factory in Upplands Väsby, Sweden, the manufacturing for specialized gift items like praline boxes often shifts between different Mondelēz facilities across Europe, including Poland and Lithuania, depending on seasonal demand and production capabilities.
