SF Masterworks is a highly regarded series of science fiction novel reprints, curated to showcase the most influential and genre-defining works from the last several decades. Launched in 1999, the series was created to bring back into print classic titles that had become difficult to find for the UK and Australian markets. It is widely recognized for its distinctive cover art and colored spines, particularly the yellow and white designs used in the post-2010 relaunch. The collection includes seminal works by authors such as Philip K. Dick, Ursula K. Le Guin, and Arthur C. Clarke.

The series is published by Gollancz, an imprint of the Orion Publishing Group. While the brand originated within the British publishing landscape, it is currently part of a much larger global media structure. Orion is a subsidiary of Hachette UK, which is in turn owned by Hachette Livre. The ultimate ownership of the brand lies with Lagardère SA, a French multinational media conglomerate. Today, the books are primarily printed in the United Kingdom, though distribution extends globally to North America and beyond through various subsidiaries of the Hachette Book Group.
