Cica is a historic Brazilian brand famous for its tomato-based products. Founded in 1941 in Jundiaí, São Paulo, the brand became a household name in Brazil, particularly known for its mascot, Turma da Mônica's Jotalhão.
Globally, the brand has transitioned through several major corporate hands. In the 1990s, it was acquired by Unilever. Later, in 2010, Unilever sold its tomato products division in Brazil (including Cica) to Cargill. Most recently, the brand became part of the Urbano Group. The product shown, Cica Pomodoro, is manufactured in Brazil, catering to the local culinary market with a focus on traditional Italian-style sauces.
