Winston is a widely recognized brand of cigarettes, originally introduced in 1954 by the R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company in the United States. Named after Winston-Salem, North Carolina, the 'city of tobacco', the brand quickly rose to popularity, becoming one of the top-selling cigarette brands globally.
Today, the ownership of Winston is split geographically. In the United States, the brand is owned and manufactured by ITG Brands (a subsidiary of Imperial Brands). Internationally, including the product shown in the image with Polish health warnings, the brand is owned by Japan Tobacco International (JTI).
JTI operates a significant production facility in Poland, specifically in Stary Gostków, which is one of the company's largest and most modern factories in the world. From this location, products are distributed across Europe and various global markets, though manufacturing also occurs in other JTI facilities globally to meet regional demand.
