Lemonsoda is a historic Italian brand of carbonated soft drinks, first created in the 1940s by Milanese company Saga. The brand became famous for its use of real lemon juice and pulp from Italian citrus fruits, distinguishing it from many chemical-based sodas. Over the decades, the LemonSoda line expanded to include variants like Oransoda, Pelmosoda, and modern cocktail-inspired non-alcoholic flavors such as the Mojito version seen here.
The brand has changed hands several times through major corporate acquisitions. Originally owned by Saga and later by Crodo, it was acquired by the Dutch multinational Heineken in 1995. In 1999, it passed to the Campari Group along with the Crodo mineral water springs. Finally, in late 2017, the Royal Unibrew group, an international beverage company based in Denmark, acquired the brand. Today, it remains a staple of Italian beverage culture, marketed heavily on its heritage and the use of natural Italian spring water and fruit ingredients.
