Velvet is a leading brand of hygiene products in Poland, originally established as part of the International Paper portfolio when the company invested in the Klucze paper mill. The Velvet brand itself was launched in 1997 and quickly became a household name for high-quality tissue and paper towel products.

Today, the brand is owned and operated by Velvet CARE, which formed following a management buy-out from International Paper in 2013. The company maintains its primary manufacturing base in Klucze, Poland, where it operates one of the most modern tissue paper mills in Central and Eastern Europe. In 2024, Partners Group, a leading global private markets firm based in Switzerland, acquired a majority stake in Velvet CARE, providing the capital for further international expansion while maintaining the brand's strong Polish heritage.
