The production of Johnny's mustard remains rooted in Sweden, specifically produced at the Kavli factory in Eslöv. While the mustard seeds are primarily imported to meet quality and volume demands, the mixing, flavoring, and packaging occur locally.

Today, Johnny’s is owned by O. Kavli AB, which is part of the Kavli Group. The Kavli Group is unique because it is owned by the Kavli Trust (Kavlifonden), a charitable foundation headquartered in Norway. This means that all profits from the sale of Johnny's mustard that are not reinvested in the company are donated to humanitarian causes, research, and culture.
