Pulpero software

Pulpero is an open-source AI assistance plugin primarily designed for Neovim, but also compatible with other IDEs like VS Code and IntelliJ. The project was created by Agustin Allamano Costa, a developer based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The name 'Pulpero' is a cultural reference to the historical general stores of Buenos Aires, known as Pulperías, where the owners (pulperos) were known for providing advice and conversation to their patrons.

The tool is designed to provide local AI code explanation and chat features without requiring an internet connection, ensuring code privacy. It utilizes engines like Llama.cpp and models such as DeepSeek and TinyLlama to process instructions directly on the user's machine. As an open-source project hosted on GitHub, its development is community-driven and owned by its original creator.
