Over the decades, the ownership of Mackie has shifted to reflect the consolidation of the audio industry. After being under the LOUD Audio (formerly LOUD Technologies) umbrella for many years, Mackie was acquired by RØDE (under the parent company Freedman Group) in late 2023. This acquisition solidified Mackie's place within a powerhouse portfolio of Australian-owned audio brands.
