Kas Naranja is a highly popular orange-flavored carbonated soft drink that holds a significant place in the Spanish beverage market. Its history dates back to 1956 in Vitoria-Gasteiz, the capital of the Basque Country, where it was created by the Knörr siblings. The name 'Kas' is derived from the first letter of their surname, Knörr, combined with 'As', referring to the local soda brand 'El As' they were already producing.

The brand became iconic for its high juice content and distinctive tart citrus flavor compared to international competitors. In the early 1990s, the brand was acquired by the global beverage giant PepsiCo, which expanded its distribution and cemented its status as a staple in Spain, particularly known for its association with local festivals and the 'Movida' culture. Today, while primarily a symbol of Spanish refreshment, it is produced in various PepsiCo bottling facilities globally to meet regional demand.
