Risiko (known internationally as Risk) is one of the world's most famous strategy board games. It was originally invented in 1957 by French filmmaker Albert Lamorisse and first released as 'La Conquête du Monde' in France. Today, the brand is part of the extensive portfolio of Hasbro, which acquired Parker Brothers in 1991. For the German market, the game has been a staple for decades, often distributed under the Hasbro Gaming label.

Manufacturing for the European market typically takes place in Hasbro's specialized production facilities in Waterford, Ireland, though global demand may lead to production in other specialized international hubs. Hasbro remains the ultimate owner, managing the property through its global headquarters in the United States.
