Rizla+ is one of the world's oldest and most iconic brands of rolling papers, with a history dating back to 16th-century France. The brand name is derived from 'Riz' (the French word for rice) and 'La+', an abbreviation for the Lacroix family who founded the company. The Silver variant is particularly well-known for being super thin, providing a slow-burning experience popular among enthusiasts.

While originally a French family-run business, the brand underwent several ownership changes during the late 20th century. It was sold to Fernand Painblanc in 1978 and later acquired by British tobacco giant Imperial Brands (formerly Imperial Tobacco) in 1997. Today, Imperial Brands manages the global distribution and manufacturing of Rizla products.

Most modern Rizla production takes place in specialized facilities in Belgium, although the brand maintains a strong global presence. As a subsidiary of Imperial Brands, Rizla continues to be a market leader in the tobacco accessories category, recognized for its variety of paper thicknesses and sizes.
