While the brand remains deeply Swedish in identity and consumer perception, manufacturing for most Malaco bagged candy has been moved to Cloetta's centralized production facilities outside of Sweden, primarily in Slovakia. This move was part of a larger structural reorganization to optimize production for the European market while maintaining the original recipes and Scandinavian branding.
