Banks Caribbean Lager is a globally recognized pilsner-style beer that has become an iconic symbol of Barbadian heritage. First brewed in 1961, the beer is produced by Banks (Barbados) Breweries Ltd., which was founded several years earlier in 1956 by Peter D'Aguiar. The beer is known for its crisp, clean taste, often attributed to the use of naturally filtered water through the island's coral stone.

While the brand maintains deep roots in Barbados, its corporate ownership has evolved. In 2015, the Brazilian multinational beverage company AMBEV (Companhia de Bebidas das Américas), a subsidiary of the global giant Anheuser-Busch InBev, successfully acquired a majority stake in Banks Holdings Limited (BHL). Today, while the manufacturing continues at the brewery in St. Lucy, Barbados, maintaining its local identity, the brand sits under the vast umbrella of AB InBev, the world's largest brewing company based in Belgium.
