Reebok is a historic athletic footwear and apparel brand with deep roots in British sports culture. Originally established as J.W. Foster and Sons in the late 19th century, it was rebranded as Reebok in 1958. The brand gained international fame during the 1980s fitness boom, particularly with the introduction of its iconic tennis and aerobic shoes like the Club C series shown in the image.
While the brand originated in the United Kingdom, manufacturing currently takes place across a distributed network of factories, primarily located in Vietnam, China, and Indonesia. Ownership of the brand has changed hands over the decades; after being a subsidiary of Adidas for several years, it was acquired by Authentic Brands Group (ABG) in 2022. This acquisition signaled a shift toward lifestyle branding and global licensing models, ensuring that Reebok remains a staple in both the fashion and sports markets.
