LEVC TX Electric Taxi

The London Electric Vehicle Company (LEVC) is the famous manufacturer behind the iconic London black cab. Originally founded as the London Taxis International (LTI) and later known as The London Taxi Company, the brand has deep British roots dating back to the 19th century. In 2013, following financial challenges, the company was acquired by the Chinese automotive giant Geely Holding Group.

Today, LEVC operates out of a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Ansty, Coventry, UK, which was the first dedicated electric vehicle plant in the UK. While the ultimate parent company is based in China, the engineering and assembly of their flagship TX model remain primarily in Britain to maintain the heritage and specialized standards required for licensed taxi vehicles. The presence of the Volvo logo next to LEVC in the image highlights their shared ownership under Geely, which also owns Volvo Cars.
