Centrum is one of the world's most recognized multivitamin brands, originally developed by Dr. Lederle at Lederle Laboratories in the United States. Since its introduction in the late 1970s, it has become a household name for nutritional support, specifically known for tailoring formulas to different age groups and health needs, such as the 'Silver' line for adults over 50.
The brand has undergone several ownership changes in its history. It moved from Lederle to Wyeth, and then to Pfizer following the 2009 acquisition. In 2019, Pfizer and GSK combined their consumer health businesses into a joint venture. This entity eventually spun off in 2022 to become Haleon, an independent global leader in consumer healthcare. Today, Haleon manages the brand and distributes it globally, maintaining production facilities across various regions including the USA, Canada, and Europe to meet international demand.
