Gorenje is a prominent brand with a rich history originating in Slovenia, where it was established in 1950 in the village of Gorenje. Originally a manufacturer of agricultural machinery, it evolved into one of the largest European household appliance manufacturers, known for its focus on design and innovation. The Freestyle II model series represents their modern line of cordless vacuum cleaners, designed for ease of use and versatility.
While Gorenje maintains significant manufacturing and R&D facilities in its native Slovenia as well as Serbia, many of its smaller specialized appliances and electronics, such as the Freestyle II cordless vacuum, are manufactured in China to leverage global supply chain efficiencies.
In terms of ownership, Gorenje underwent a major transition in 2018 when it was acquired by Hisense, a Chinese multinational electronics and appliance manufacturer. Today, Gorenje operates as a key brand under the Hisense Europe umbrella, benefiting from its parent company's global technological resources while maintaining its identity as a European heritage brand.
