Soberano is one of Spain's most historic and well-recognized brands of Brandy de Jerez. The brand originated in Jerez de la Frontera, a city in the Andalusia region famous for its sherry and brandy production. It was originally created by Gonzalez Byass, a long-established sherry house that has been family-owned for generations.

Today, Soberano continues to be manufactured in Spain using traditional distillation methods and aged in American oak casks that previously held sherry wines. The brand is still owned by González Byass S.A., which remains one of Spain's premier wine and spirits companies with a global presence, exporting to over 100 countries while maintaining its headquarters in Jerez, Spain.
