Originally developed by CommPartners, a company based in Columbia, Maryland, the brand has grown significantly within the association technology space. CommPartners established Elevate as a market leader in delivering educational content for nonprofit and professional sectors.

In early 2021, CommPartners was acquired by Cadmium, a leading provider of event management and learning technology. Today, Elevate is a core part of the Cadmium product suite, headquartered in Forest Hill, Maryland. The platform continues to be developed and supported primarily from the United States, serving a global clientele.
