Brownes Dairy is Western Australia's most iconic and oldest dairy company, having been established in 1886. The brand is deeply rooted in Australian heritage, originally founded by Edward Browne. It remains a household name in the region, known for sourcing fresh milk from local farmers in the South West of WA.

While its origins are purely Australian, the company has seen several changes in ownership over recent decades. In 2017, the brand was acquired by a Chinese consortium led by Shanghai Ground Food Tech (now known as Shanghai Milkground Food Tech). Today, Brownes Dairy continues to operate out of Balcatta, Western Australia, ensuring that despite international ownership, the manufacturing and supply chain remain locally focused to provide fresh dairy products to the Australian market.
