Barker's of Geraldine is a well-known food producer originating from the South Island of New Zealand. Established in 1969 by Anthony Barker on a family farm in Geraldine, the brand initially gained popularity for its fruit wines and elderberry syrups before expanding into a wide range of jams, preserves, and chutneys. The Three Berry Jam is a signature product that continues the brand's tradition of high-fruit content recipes.
While the brand maintains its deep roots in New Zealand and continues to manufacture its products at the original Geraldine site, it underwent a significant change in ownership in 2021. The French family-owned multinational firm, Andros, acquired Barker's to strengthen its presence in the Oceania region. Despite this change in ultimate ownership to a French parent company, Barker's continues to operate as a distinct brand with its local manufacturing facilities and New Zealand heritage intact.
