Apache Camel is an open-source integration framework based on known Enterprise Integration Patterns. The ActiveMQ component within Camel allows seamless connectivity to Apache ActiveMQ, one of the most popular and powerful open-source messaging and Integration Patterns servers.

Originally developed by developers at LogicBlaze and subsequently donated to the Apache Software Foundation, the software follows a collaborative global development model. Because the project is open-source and managed by a decentralized community of contributors, its 'manufacturing' or coding occurs across multiple countries wherever its contributors are located.
