Frödinge is a classic Swedish brand specializing in frozen desserts and cakes, most famous for its traditional Swedish Ostkaka (cheesecake). This specific product, Semmelkladdkaka, is a modern fusion of two Swedish favorites: the sticky chocolate-style cake (Kladdkaka) and the flavors of the Semla bun, including almond paste and whipped cream. The product is prominently labeled with 'Från Sverige' (From Sweden), confirming its local manufacturing in Småland, where the company has operated since 1929.

Originally founded as Frödinge Mejeri (Frödinge Dairy), the brand has undergone several ownership changes over the decades. For many years, it was part of the Norwegian Orkla Group. However, in recent years, Orkla divested the Frödinge brand to Foodora (briefly) and subsequently it became part of the broader portfolio of FoodMark Sweden AB.
