Batchelors is a historic British brand, originally founded in Sheffield by William Batchelor in 1895. While the company began with dried peas, it became a household name in the UK for its convenience foods, particularly its range of quick-cook pasta and noodle sachets like the Pasta 'n' Sauce product shown in the image.
The brand has undergone several ownership changes over the decades. It was previously part of Unilever, but following a divestment of certain food brands in 2001, it was acquired by Campbell Soup Company. Eventually, the brand was sold to Premier Foods in 2006. Today, Batchelors remains a key part of the Premier Foods portfolio, manufactured primarily at their major food production facility in Ashford, Kent, maintaining its status as a staple of British pantry convenience.
