Rowse Honey is a quintessential British brand that can be traced back to 1954 when Tony Rowse started beekeeping in his garden in Ewelme, Oxfordshire. Over the decades, the brand grew from a small local operation into the United Kingdom's leading honey producer. While the brand remains deeply rooted in its Oxfordshire heritage, where it is still packed today, the honey itself is sourced from multiple locations globally to meet high demand, including organic apiaries across Europe and beyond.

Today, Rowse is no longer a family-owned business. It was acquired in 2006 by the Irish international food group Valeo Foods. Valeo Foods itself has undergone significant ownership changes, currently being owned by Bain Capital, a global private investment firm. Despite these corporate shifts, Rowse maintains its focus on bee welfare and sustainability through initiatives like 'Hives for Lives' and continues to operate out of its historic home in Wallingford.
