Pringles were originally created by Procter & Gamble in 1967 in the United States, designed as a stackable, uniform potato chip to prevent breakage. The iconic hyperbolic paraboloid shape and cylindrical can became a hallmark of the brand's identity.
In 2012, the Kellogg Company acquired the brand, significantly expanding its global footprint. Following a corporate restructuring in 2023, the brand became part of Kellanova, the snacking-focused spin-off of Kellogg's. Pringles are produced in various facilities worldwide, including major plants in the United States, Belgium, Poland, and Malaysia, to serve international markets. The 'Buffalo Chicken Wings' flavor shown is a specialty limited edition often released as part of stadium snack or sports-themed campaigns.
