Rokal Modellbahn

Rokal was a pioneering German manufacturer of model trains, specifically known for establishing the TT scale (1:120) in Europe. Founded in Lobberich, Germany, the company originally specialized in precision valves and carburetors before branching into the hobbyist market in the late 1940s.

Throughout the 1950s and 60s, Rokal was a major competitor in the model railway industry. However, financial difficulties led to the cessation of model train production in 1969. While the Rokal company name continued to exist in the automotive and sanitary fittings sectors, the model train assets were largely liquidated or transitioned into the hands of collectors. Today, the brand remains a legendary name among model railway enthusiasts, preserved through specialized museums and collector societies.
