Trix Scale Model Trains

Trix is a legendary German brand that has been a cornerstone of the model railroading world for over a century. Founded in 1838, it transitioned from metal construction sets to its famous model commercial trains in the 1930s with the launch of the Trix Express. Today, it is particularly renowned for its Minitrix line—a gold standard in N-Scale (1:160) modeling—and its HO-Scale locomotives that share engineering with its sister brand, Märklin.

The brand underwent significant transformation in the late 1990s when it was acquired by Märklin due to financial restructuring. Currently, under the leadership of the Sieber family, the production is handled through a modern supply chain that utilizes Märklin's specialized manufacturing facilities in Győr, Hungary, alongside traditional production sites in Germany and a dedicated factory in Vietnam for specific components. This ensures the high precision and craftsmanship expected by collectors worldwide.
