Fleischmann Model Trains

Fleischmann is a legendary German brand in the world of model railroading, founded in 1887 by Jean Fleischmann in Nuremberg. Originally a toy manufacturer, the company transitioned into the model railway market and became widely recognized for its high-quality 'Profi-Gleis' track systems and detailed HO and N scale locomotives. For decades, it stood as a symbol of German precision engineering in the hobby industry.

Following financial challenges in the early 21st century, the brand was acquired by the Austrian-based Modelleisenbahn Holding GmbH in 2008. Since then, manufacturing has largely shifted away from Germany as part of a restructuring plan to consolidate production with its sister brand, Roco. Today, the ultimate ownership lies with the Raiffeisen group through their investment structures, ensuring the brand continues to operate as a premium label for N scale models and specialist HO equipment.
