Lipton is one of the world's most recognizable tea brands, originally founded in the late 19th century by Sir Thomas Lipton in Scotland. While it began with traditional black tea, the brand has expanded significantly into herbal infusions, such as the camomile tea shown here. The brand's manufacturing presence is global, with major tea processing facilities in countries including the United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, and various regional hubs to serve local markets.

In 2022, a major shift in ownership occurred when Unilever, the brand's long-time owner, sold its tea business (including Lipton) to CVC Capital Partners. This new independent entity is known as LIPTON Teas and Infusions. While the brand has Scottish roots and was built by a British merchant, its current ultimate ownership is held by a global private equity firm headquartered in Luxembourg, maintaining its status as a leading player in the international tea industry.
