Heinz is a globally recognized food brand originally founded in the United States in 1869 by Henry J. Heinz. While initially famous for its horseradish and ketchup, it has expanded into a wide variety of sauces and condiments. In Brazil, Heinz products are manufactured locally to serve the South American market.
Starting in 2013, the brand underwent significant ownership changes, beginning with its acquisition by Berkshire Hathaway and 3G Capital. This later led to the 2015 merger with Kraft Foods to form the Kraft Heinz Company. As of 2026, the brand remains under the ultimate ownership of the Kraft Heinz Company, which is headquartered in the United States, operating through its local subsidiary Kraft Heinz Brasil.
