manufacturedPrimarily in Estonia, but also produced in Israel and formerly Russia

Aquaphor was founded in 1992 in Saint Petersburg, Russia, by Joseph L. Shmidt and Hagai Dvir, focusing on the development of unique fibrous ion-exchange materials (Aqualen) for water purification. The company quickly grew to become a dominant player in the Eastern European market, providing everything from pitcher filters to complex reverse osmosis systems.

Following geopolitical shifts and strategic expansion, the brand's center of gravity shifted heavily toward the European Union. Today, the majority of its manufacturing and research and development activities are concentrated in Estonia, where it operates some of the most advanced filtration factories in Europe. The brand is now headquartered in Tallinn, Estonia, effectively positioning itself as a European manufacturer with a global footprint.

Aquaphor is owned by the Electromatic Group, an international conglomerate specializing in water purification technologies. While the brand has historical roots in Russia, its current corporate structure, intellectual property management, and primary production facilities are firmly based in Estonia (EU) and Israel, catering to over 60 countries worldwide.
